AI SEO Inspector

AI SEO Inspector is a Chrome extension that analyzes the SEO, content quality, and performance characteristics of the web page you are actively viewing. This page explains exactly what it accesses, what it does with that, and what it doesn't do.

What it accesses

When you click the extension icon and press "Inspect this page," the extension reads the DOM of your currently active browser tab — including:

• Title tag, meta tags, canonical and robots tags
• Headings, image alt attributes, and links
• Structured data (schema.org / JSON-LD)
• Visible page text
• Your browser's built-in Performance API data for that page (load timing, layout shift)

If you enter a target keyword, that text is used locally to check where it appears on the page — title, headings, meta description, and body content.

What it does with that data

All analysis happens entirely on your device, inside your browser. The extension makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing about the pages you scan is uploaded, logged, or shared with any server — including ours — or with any third party.

What it stores

The extension does not persist or store scan results between sessions. Each report exists only in the extension popup while it's open, and disappears when the popup closes. If you choose to export a report as a PDF, that file is generated locally on your device and saved wherever your browser saves downloads — it is never uploaded anywhere.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer any data to third parties. We do not use any data accessed by the extension for any purpose beyond generating the on-screen SEO report, and we do not use any data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Permissions this extension requests

• activeTab — lets the extension read the currently active tab's content, and only after you explicitly click "Inspect this page."
• scripting — lets the extension run its bundled, on-device analysis script on that same active tab.

No other permissions are requested. The extension does not have access to your browsing history, other open tabs, or any page you haven't explicitly chosen to inspect.

Changes to this policy

If this extension's data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds the ability to save scan history locally — this page will be updated to reflect that before the update is published.
